Write Reddit posts

Three jobs for the Reddit post writers, each with the call that does it

Every draft needs a fresh idempotency_key and a plan with 2 to 8 points. Submitting a draft deducts its maximum and refunds the rest when it finishes, so these calls cost credits. See Reddit writers for every field.

Share a result in r/running and compare the three writers

Leave model out and each writer gives one option, labelled A, B and C in a random order. Show them to the person, record their pick, and the answer reveals which writer wrote each.

curl -s https://app.makesmores.com/api/v1/drafts \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SMORE_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d @- <<JSON | tee draft.json
{
"platform": "reddit",
"type": "post",
"idempotency_key": "result-$(date +%s)",
"subreddit": "running",
"plan": {

Then poll until state is ready:

curl -s "https://app.makesmores.com/api/v1/drafts/$(jq -r .draft_id draft.json)" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SMORE_API_KEY" | jq '{state, poll_after_s, options: [.options[]? | {option, title, p_top10}]}'

Get three options from one writer

Pin model and set count to get up to three options from the same writer, each scored.

curl -s https://app.makesmores.com/api/v1/drafts \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SMORE_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d @- <<JSON
{

"points": [

{ "point": "Weekday runs moved to lunch breaks", "evidence": "three 40-minute runs" }

Start from the subreddit's own example plan

Top posts returns example_plan, a plan in the shape the writers take, built for that subreddit. Replace its facts with your own before you submit; here it goes straight in to show the shape.

curl -s "https://app.makesmores.com/api/v1/top-posts?subreddit=running" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SMORE_API_KEY" \
| jq --arg key "example-plan-$(date +%s)" \
'{platform: "reddit", type: "post", idempotency_key: $key, subreddit: "running", plan: .example_plan}' \
| curl -s https://app.makesmores.com/api/v1/drafts \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SMORE_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d @-
