Plan posts from content briefs
Three jobs for content briefs, each with the call that does it
Content briefs are weekly post ideas for each watched subreddit, in beta. Each call costs $0.001 per call and needs reddit:signals:read. See Reddit signals and content briefs.
Read this week's briefs for a subreddit
The subreddit must be one your workspace watches.
curl -s "https://app.makesmores.com/api/v1/content-briefs?subreddit=running&limit=5" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SMORE_API_KEY" \
| jq '{week_of, briefs: [.briefs[] | {rank, title, p_top10, rules_note}]}'
Get briefs for every watched subreddit at once
The opportunities feed carries the briefs for each ready watched subreddit on its first page, next to leads, pain points and solution requests.
curl -s "https://app.makesmores.com/api/v1/opportunities?limit=5" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SMORE_API_KEY" \
| jq '[.content_briefs[] | {subreddit, briefs: [.briefs[] | .title]}]'
Turn a brief into a draft
A brief's outline maps onto a writer plan: opening becomes the angle, each outline point becomes a plan point with its evidence, and closing_question becomes the closing. Add the facts only you know as author_specifics, then submit to the Reddit writers.
curl -s "https://app.makesmores.com/api/v1/content-briefs?subreddit=running&limit=1" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SMORE_API_KEY" \
| jq '.briefs[0].outline'
